DESCRIPTION

The Country Managing Director (MD) is the senior-most executive responsible for the successful leadership, strategic direction, and operational performance of T-Connect’s digital transformation business in Lesotho. This role combines commercial, operational, regulatory, and people leadership to drive profitable growth and outstanding customer service in the local market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage the full operations of T-Connect Lesotho across sales, customer service, installations, field ops, and finance

  • Own the P&L for Lesotho and deliver on revenue, cost, and EBITDA targets

  • Drive market expansion by acquiring new customers, growing channel partnerships, and supporting key enterprise accounts

  • Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing cross-functional team

  • Ensure compliance with all local laws, telecom licensing requirements, and Starlink partner policies

  • Act as T-Connect’s key representative to regulators, government entities, and public stakeholders in Lesotho

  • Collaborate with Group COO and Group function heads (Commercial, Tech, Finance, HR) to align strategy and resources

  • Monitor competitive landscape and adjust go-to-market approach as needed

  • Ensure excellence in customer experience, installations, and field service operations

  • Oversee the rollout of new projects or services locally in alignment with group goals

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 8+ years of senior management experience, including 3+ years in telecom, ICT, or digital services

  • Strong background in commercial operations, business development, or P&L management

  • Demonstrated leadership capability with cross-functional teams

  • Experience managing external stakeholders including regulators or public sector bodies

  • Solid financial and operational acumen

  • Degree in Business, Engineering, ICT, or related field (MBA preferred)
